Venice!

I have been to many countries and many places that have brought great memories and many pictures but one place I would rather be and go more than any place in the world is Venice. Italy has always been on my top priorities to go, not only is it beautiful the food has got to be amazing! Christopher (CJ) and I have talked about going to Venice for our honeymoon. Last year we headed to Ireland with my family together and it was one of the best two weeks of my life. My family comes from a long running of Irish people so it was nice to see where I came from and where my families root have been for so long. CJ on the other hand comes from Italy and his roots for many years have been along the lines of Venice we believe so this is one of my major reasons for wanting to visit.

It is the Holiday Season and this time of year everyone wants to be in your business. I have many family members to see this Holiday season and with my mom out and down for the count due to her recent surgery I will have to go through all of it alone. It is hard getting criticizes from so many people about things that you are doing during/after/for your wedding that most of the time I do not even want to deal with out because I would hate to snap at one of my family members. This season I will just have to bare all of the ugly faces and mean remakes to get my so make it through.

Research Findings

During the process of my research paper I found out a lot about what I thought was going to be my future career, but since going through all of the things about my career I did not know, I have decided to change my major. I found out a lot about the schooling and how hard it was to find an intern job after you get out of high school. You can not start a career in this field without first interning some where. Also I found out that the Rehabilitation Engineers do not do much with the Engineering part, well at least not the females. Most of the males in this field are the ones that actually do the Engineering and it bothers me. I picked this field so I could be an engineer and still help the disabled as I planned But I do not see this happening. I have decided that I may go into something dealing with dental but I have not decided!!

Well well it is the time of giving and receiving and my oh my ave I got some things. A wedding is not complete without the perfect dress so lately I have been trying on all sorts of different dresses and I can not find one I like. And when I say not a one I mean it. I have tried on dozens and I can not seem to find the one that I like and the one that will be MY DRESS. How ever, I will keep looking and keep my head up because if there is one thing that wedding planning is it would be stressful.

And the Plot Thickens!

This wedding is becoming much larger than I intentionally planned it to be that is for sure! I have been fighting over colors of the girls dresses and even down to the shoes. I had my Maid of Honor with me out shoe shopping a few days ago and I just can not find the perfect color for the girls that I want! This is all very frustrating and I just want it all to go away for a little bit! My soon to be husband is very lovely and helpful with the wedding, and without him I would be lost. He makes me breathe when things are getting to hard and sits me down when I need to take a break, without him I wouldn't be able to do this (for other than the obvious reasons). Oh yes! Back onto the shoe topic, I have found a website which I can make my very own shoes! Because I am not doing anything traditional in my wedding I have thought about not wearing high heels at all, and it would only be unfair if I made my girls wear high heels. I was thinking about wearing custom made Converse with our wedding date and colors involved. Now ladies (and gentleman) I have never planned a wedding and I have only been a part of one so I need your help! Is this a good idea or should I think of something different!! All of your input is soo much appreciated and well very much so needed!
Whether I like it or not this planning is only going to get harder and I am going to need to suck it up so I can finish planning my wonderful wedding! I am just glad I have people there to help me through this and see my points of views and even tell me when something I want is just not going to happen. I look forward to all of the help I can get and to the wedding!

It's Research Time!!

Mmmmm The sweet smell of another research paper. This one, at least, is on something I like. This research paper which I am about 1/2 of the way done is going along so much more smoothly than other research papers have because well I got to pick my own topic. I have however had a hard time coming up with credible sources (evening using the MCC library) because my career field I am assuming is just not that publically known. I am also having a little trouble with the bibliography. I am not sure if we are suppose to just bring in the ones we are using or if we are suppose to explain why we are using them. To me if the title is Biomedical Engineering.. right there pretty much states why I am using it. I guess I just have not had to state why I am using a source in high school when we did most of our research papers so this is all very new to me.
On a much better note being almost half way done with my paper, and not really running into any problems is beginning to be a life saver for me. One of the reasons I picked Biomedical Engineering for my career is because Wayne State University has an awesome Biomedical Career field and also deals a lot with cancer. When all said and done I would love to do research with Cervical Cancer. I believe that it takes us kids, teenagers, and young adults to make a bright new future and to find the cure for horrible things such as cancer. I hope everyone is having as much fun as I am with their research paper (yes I know I am a weirdo) but research papers are a way of life in college so we might as well get use to them while we can. Research papers are not the enemy, but teachers that do not allow you to research your own topic very well might be the enemy and ours allowed us to pick what we wanted and that makes for a very happy Mott College student!!

Wedding Ups and Downs

The fall season is here, finally! driving up the west side of the state with all the pretty colors coming alive can not make a person more happy. Earlier this week I drove up to Glen Arbor for my sisters wedding and it was gorgeous. Seeing her stress lever sure puts a damper on my wedding plans though. Everything was crazy and she even stole some of my ideas for the wedding. I want to have cup cakes just like she did instead of a cake. I just do not like cake all that much and cup cakes are much less germinated. Up at the resort 4 weddings were going on. Saturday was a busy day for the wedding planners of The Homestead Resort. I talked a little bit with my sisters planner to get ideas for what flowers go good in the spring time. We have decided on Lilly's and Orchids, bot of which we can get in red and white. The color scheme is coming together very nicely and I am so very happy about it. Watching my sister stress out about the small things and the big things was very hard to watch knowing I was going to be going through that same dilemma in just a year and some few short months. I am nervous about being to stressed when the time comes like you could see my sister was but in the end it was all worth it. The temperature for the wedding was in the low 40s and we were on a beach. Talk about freezing our butts off. The wedding was very enjoyable and so was the dancing and the amazing DJ she hired. I am more than excited to finish planning my wedding although I could probably handle if the stress level was a little lower than hers was. Seeing a wedding in action shows me just how much planning I still have to do and I am nervous but it will all come together and I have faith everything will work out for the better.

Definitely, Maybe (2008)

A lesson in the love. Romantic Comedies are films with light-hearted, humorous plotlines, centered on romantic ideals such as a true love able to surmount most obstacles. This romantic comedy portrays one child's dream of knowing how her father had landed her mother after her elementary class takes a crash course in sex education. Will Hayes played by Ryan Reynolds a 30 odd something dad from Manhattan is in the core of a divorce when his 10 year old daughter, Maya (Abigail Breslin), starts to question him about his life before his now ending marriage. His pride and joy, his little girl wants to know everything about his growing up years or at least how her parents met and fell into love.
The flashbacks of his former flames start in 1992, when Will, an aspiring politician, moves away from his home town, college and former flame Emily starred by Elizabeth Banks. Will moves to the big city of New York to work on the most famous campaign of his life, the Clinton campaign. Will becomes involved with many women through out his life, where they enter his world some how leave and take a small piece along with them, ruining what he had, and re entering only to cause more havoc than good. Though the story is real, Will changes the names of the women so that his daughter has to guess which way he actually met her mother. This leaves a sort of fairy tale ending to the little girls dying dream. Summer Hartley played by Rachel Weisz an up and coming journalist and another women April played by Isla Fisher who does all of the copying and paper word for the campaign are just a few of the women portrayed in Will's love life.
When April and Will have a meeting outside of work for the first time he expresses his concern of asking Emily to marry him before he moved. The words he uses takes April to a new level and she replies with the sly remark of "Definitely, maybe". Once at Aprils apartment Will is taken aback her massive collection of Jane Eyre, she than explains that her father had given her a copy with inscription in the front right before his death and that the book was later lost after she just forgot about it. As a way to try and get the love of her dad back she went around buying copies of the book to try and find the one that was forever lost.
Will than moves on to another girl who is known to his daughter as Summer. They get together only for April to come back after going on a trip to find herself. April comes back to tell Will she loves him just as he is ready to propose to Summer. Will ends the need to propose to Summer when she writes an article about his clients which loses him a major profit and a ton of clients.
Definitely, Maybe is a very captivating love story of how thinking you have found the one may not actually be the one you are destined to be with. In the end Will has to pick which one of the women he has been so in love with once or twice and if they are going to be the right one for him. This movie sets the guideline for romantic comedies and the amount of love that may come out of one child's desire to know everything about her mother and father and why their marriage of so many years has ended. This movie stereotypes love in the best generalized way. The movie and the trailer are a captivating story that every young love and relationship can bare to watch together.

My first post!

I am not sure what to write in my first blog, so here it goes. I am Danyl (pronounced Danielle) but most people get it wrong. I am 19 and live in Ortonville with my fiancĂ© and our dog. I am interested in running and reading and other than that I am a pretty normal, well as normal can get kind of person. I am planning a May wedding which is starting to become a hassle and a little bit of a head ache. I mean do not get me wrong, I love my fiancĂ©'s family to death but nothing I ever do and or want for MY wedding ever seems good enough for them. Every girl dreams of her big day from the start and I just do not understand how they are trying to give me some one else's day. I say they are trying to give me some one else's day because nothing I want they want and nothing they want I want. Seeings as I do not know much about weddings and everyone else I know and or have had any real communication with which was the kids in my high school who are still partying and doing who only knows what, I would love anyones input on everything in my wedding. I have also used the website http://www.weddingdetails.com/ to help me in the guiding of where I should go from where I am. My engagement ring is a diamond surrounded by two garnet, this being because his birthday is in January and mine being in April so his color is surrounding mine. His ring is the complete opposite so we figured for the wedding we would do a deep red and a creamish and or odd white color. Any help is greatly appreciated and as I go on planning the wedding I would love to hear from all of you who have had a wedding or who just know a little something about anything. Thank you all so much!!
